Is it normal that i love driving?

I don't know what it is about driving, but I can never get enough. I love going fast in a car. When I'm driving around with my music on it often seems like nothing else matters. Although my car is very slow, I want to get something fast soon. For now I bother the hell out of my friends to take me around in their faster cars. Does anyone else feel this way about cars and driving?

I love driving. It can be the ultimate escape sometimes. I don't really care how fast I go most of the time, as long as the weather is perfect for rolling windows down and I got some good music on. I'm only a speed demon when I'm running late, which is almost always and that can be fun, too. I also prefer fewer cars on the road. I'm not really into the passing people thing. It just seems mean.

  • I think it is normal. Personally, I don't like it and will take a bus to work if there is one that's convenient. I'd rather have an hour to read a book, than spend twenty minutes on the road avoiding the horrendous driving mistakes others make. People seem to forget that if they don't pay attention to how they are driving they could easily murder someone.

Perfectly normal. I love cars. I love driving.
There is nothing better than handling a fine piece of craftsmanship and engineering out on the tarmac.
Once test drove a Mercedes SL65 AMG. Best 20 minutes of my entire driving history!

Driving fast is also a must. In cities I drive up to 5mph above the limit. Out on the open roads... a little more...
Maxed out at 250kph (155mph) on the autobahn.

Driving and independence is THE BEST feeling.

Yes, but the speed limits piss me off and there are cops EVERYWHERE in the city where I live. My car can probably go twice as fast as I'm allowed to drive it.

If speed is what you're after, maybe you should get an aeroplane instead. Except near airports, there are no speed limits in the sky.

I'm not too fond of driving. My mom hates it. I always have a really bad headache after I drive and I'm not sure why. Tension maybe.

I don't drive much anymore. But I always enjoyed long distance driving. I use to love my solo ten hour drives. Although I feel too guilty to do that by myself now. Where's the goddamn train! I also don't trust other drivers. Too many drive like it's a race.

I still love driving as much as I did when I first started. Although I miss my manual gear, hotted up car, its the driving (especially country/beach road driving) that I love.
The only thing that has really changed is I just can't be a passenger any more. I feel like I could always do better than them (the old I'm the best driver on the road arrogance most have)

Since I lost my license 3 times when I was younger for speeding (once dragging off and beating an unmarked cop car!!) I only speed when I know its safe now.
Speed doesn't kill, only careless driving does.
I really feel that very experienced drivers in all conditions should be allowed to go faster when they know its absolutely safe for everyone and not beyond the cars limitations or the driver.

I see young drivers still speeding (as I did once) in situations that are not safe.
As for road rage, I have no time for it. If the person behind me wants to get in front, by all means go past. I drive for enjoyment, knowing I'm the best Lol.

My last accident was about 25years ago. Due to poor tires they locked up and skidded on icy roads into the car in front. I now always have good tread tires on the front (at least) and obviously drive a car with ABS (no locking up of tires) Plus I go over every hypothetical possibility in milliseconds on the road at all times. Always watching out for the 'other' driver, as they are the ones that are careless, not me anymore.

I originally did an advanced driving course on a racing track. How to skid and corner that type of thing. These courses should be mandatory for all new drivers.

By the way, have you seen that tiny car on youtube that's trying to park in a large spot (actually there are a few of them) they shouldn't be allowed to drive on the road if they can't do this basic shit.

I must admit, I drove in Malaysia as well (right around the country, then through the middle) Since buses can overtake me on blind corners, quite obviously Indian bus drivers must know more than me, because to me that's just suicidal.

I would too if petrol wasn't so expensive.

I used to go for rides all the time. Just drive around and listen to music. Ahhh I miss that. Once I get my other special car going again I'm making it a point to go on my cruises again. Plus I like to race :D
