I can't even begin to understand certain members of my own gender. They find out a player is a girl and then it's all "Hey baby, are you hot? Do you want to suck me?" Or they try to impress them by boasting about what sword they've got. Or they rage for no apparent reason. Yeah, attractive.
When I choose (which is rare) to have a chat to people in-game, the females are astonished that I'm just having a normal conversation with them about ice cream or the weather or prisons (yes, it happened). Admittedly to a Swedish prison warder who likes ice cream.
To quote the inestimable MissSorel, though: "I'm not here to be hot. I'm here to kick your butt". One of the finest things ever uttered on IIN. I love her for that!
Not to be rude, but what I don't get is why a lot of girls have the special snowflake syndrome where they think they're rare for playing games.
There are A LOT of female gamers who play every genre and every console. There always have been female gamers, it's just growing more now because video games are more readily available and popular.
Most of the guys that make stupid remarks because you're a female gamer are either mad because you beat, desperate, or young. Or all three.
I have a fun female impersination story about this (I'm racking up a few of those now...).
A little while ago, I made an account for mw2 and gave it a really obvious girlish name, just for giggles. I put on a terrible, high-pitched, voice and just talked over the mics. Literally every game I got: "Hey wanna suck my dick?", "Sup baby how big r ur b00bz?" and even the inevitible "Get back in the kitchen!". Yes, you are so hilarious. Sometimes, I'm just embarrassed to be a guy :(
My characters are half male and half female. It doesn't feel weird at all to me, playing as a girl. But I get frustrated at some of the crap I get. One guy said he was going to "stab me in the pussy because bitches are for blowjobs and housework and any who won't do it deserve to die".
The response he got scared him so badly he went offline and I've yet to see him come back.

I don't mind if women play or not more power to you. It's a video game which is for all to enjoy. my psn is hobit 2112 hmu sometime but won't be getting mw3 till christmas.

I am a girl a I too live MW and/or any FPS. I love video hames in general. Usually when guys find out I'm a girl I get harassed or sent to the kitchen.
I didn't know that playing those games would make girls really hot but hey its just a game. But knowing "Call of Duty"? LOL! I saw a preview of this game and it cracks me up! The rankings are abnoxiously ridiculous especially when the screen says "you have picked up a small meaningless stick, Congrats."
