Is it normal that i love to smell this particular pillow of mine?

When I was a child, I was given a pillow and I still have it today. But what I observed myself doing over the years is that I smell it nonstop when I am near it. And I love it the most when it feels cold or is cool. It is so comforting to me.

But I am so afraid to lose that comfort that I can't part with it... or even have it washed. I am afraid it will lose its scent.

So, is it normal?
