Is it normal I'm a boy and I love netball? When I was 12 I used to love playing netball and everyone used to think I'm gay I got very sad because I'm not gay. I am now 22 and I still love netball is there anyone else who is a boy and loves netball or am I really gay?
From what I just Googled netball seems similar to American basketball. I don't know where you live or what the social norms are for the game. But here basketball is played by both genders pretty much equally.
I'm female and play netball. Our team invites husbands / male friends etc to join us once or twice a year for a mixed tournament. Great fun. And the most common reaction from a guy playing netball the first time..... "This game is more physically demanding and skilful than I realised."
I used to play in a team in primary school, my mum was the coach haha there were a few other boys in the team too. Never got teased for it until we played against other schools which had all girl teams. I remember a girl asking me
"do you think you're a girl or something? netball is for girls."
If you enjoy something screw what other people think. Shake the establishment, break conventions, be progressive.
