Thank God I am not alone.
I support gay marriage.
We are not all meant to multiply and replenish the earth. Last I checked, fertility clinics are still very popular.
Quit deluding yourselves, fellow Christians. We came here for equal rights.
One nation. Under God. With liberty and justice for ALL.
It's cool, if two people want to be together what the fuck business is that to do with anyone else?
I know several hard core Christians (bible thumper) who support gay marriage. Personally they find homosexuality abhorrent, however politically they do not believe they have a right to force their belief on others. I do not believe in Christianity but those people are great. Lazzie-faire
Firstly No it isn't normal. However (brace yourself my train of thought is a bumpy ride) being a very conservative Christian myself I am not necessarily supportive of gay marriage but I'm also not entirely against it. The way I see it homosexuality is a sin plain and simple, but so is getting drunk, having bad thoughts, lying, gluttony and a myriad of other things society as whole sees as "not too bad" . In God's eyes telling a white lie is as bad as homosexual actions which is as bad as murder. There are No grades sin is sin. OK now that ground work is laid my thoughts on government is that laws should only exist to protect people from others so the sin of rape should be illegal because there was a victim but the sin of lustful thoughts should not be illegal because No one was hurt, that is between the perpetrator and God only. so since both parties of the homosexual relationship are consenting to that there is No victim so it should be entirely legal. My only issue with gay marriage lies in the phrase "marriage". Marriage from a biblical perspective is aan and woman coming tigether to form a bond representing the church and Jesus dynamic. Therefore a gay marriage isnt a marriage if we use the biblical term as our benchmark (but many heterosexual marriages also do not measure up to that scrutiny either). But someone who chooses to be involved in a homosexual relationship has every right to make that choice and have the same legal grounds as a heterosexual relationship.
In short they should have the right to have life long commitments recognized with the same rights from a governmental perspective but the terminology of gay MARRIAGE is inaccurate and God would not recognize the relationship on equal grounds as a heterosexual marriage.
I feel like it's odd that Christans aren't supposed to support gays. That some think God doesn't love gays. God created everyone for a reason and it would be wrong if he created gay people and hated him. I myself support gays and think God loves gays despite what the bible says.
God created everyone. Everyone has the God given right to do what ever they want. How is getting married in a court house offending christians> Separation of church and state..... Too many religious freaks trying to but in on every little aspect of life and there is some predgidous against gays already.
I've never really understood how trying to engineer society's moral values is a very "Christian" thing to do. People should be allowed to make their own choices (as in acting on homosexual impulses, not being a homosexual), right or wrong. Saying that the law should treat gay and straight couples differently is a way of imposing your religion on other people. People should be allowed to make their own decisions and, if the Christian God exists, He will judge them. Conservative Christians seem to understand this on fiscal policy, saying people should be able to spend their money however they want, but not on social issues - in which they are more authoritarian and want to use the law to enforce their beliefs on others. Believing homosexuality is immoral shouldn't lead one to believe gay marriage should not be allowed. Christians believe lying is immoral, yet lying to your spouse doesn't nullify your marriage and I don't hear any Christians saying that it should.
It's not that uncommon, but you are in a minority. Many Christians have no problem with equal rights for homosexuals.
That wat being a christian is about not judging bt let God doing that us just living are lives
Yes, I believe in God and I support gay rights. It goes against what's in the bible, but the bible has been edited a lot over the years. Plus God forgives and loves everybody.
I think it is, I'm Christian and a lot of us don't support gay marriage. However god is sopost to accept you no matter what. So I don't know why people think that
Most christians iv known have been against it completely, so not really normal but hey I say good for you for being more accepting.
There is nothing in Christianity that says you cannot support gay marriages/relationships. Some Christians have gone well beyond what is acceptable or sensible just because of that statement written in the Bible that is 'anti-gay'. Yet they forget how long ago it was written and how much society has changed since then.
I get extremely angry with people who interpret the Bible just to suit their own inherent prejudices. So personally I think you are normal and sensible.
Its your personal opinion. So, normal. I am not christian. Just curious, do you support lesbian?
I am potentially the 2nd coming of Christ, and these are my thoughts :
Life ultimately is not male or female, so therfore it is ok.
Just make sure you use plenty of vaseline.
You mean that you believe a Jew from space came to earth, got crucified so you get the 'right' to hate on people who screw their own sex but now you think you're enlightened because you don't look down on them anymore?
well good for you-but you still have a long way to go till you join the civilized world.
