Is it normal that i'm absolutely terrified of space

I'm terrified of space and everything in or about it. I can't think of us floating in the middle of nowhere (at a very high speed) following the sun's trajectory, which is following the Milky Way's trajectory, we're bound to hit something, or encounter a black hole.
Or we don't know much about space anyway, everything is theory. So who knows when or what's gonna happen!? And looking up at the night sky makes me lightheaded.
I used to LOVE it, but when things are DUMBED down to be "understood by children", they make everything sound friendly, normal, nice. No, nothing is certain. Everything is happening faster than we thought. Jupiter is dying, the biggest "influencer" of our planets' orbits and so on. We're all doomed.

Most major events in space take a really, really long time to happen. Our planet has been more or less in it's current state for millions of years. The chances of our solar system dramatically changing within your life time are infinitely small.
It's way more likely humanity will wipe itself out before anything in space gets the chance.

Well we're certainly all doomed but I we wouldn't be worried about space. We'll all be dead before theres a galactic catastrophe.

I actually think it's quite exciting. Here we are in this massive galactic neighbourhood, and out there somewhere there's other (probably quite strange) people just waiting to be found.

Sure we'll never live to see it, but the thought is so much fun.

    You're probably right.
May as well have a party and screw your brains out while you can.
In black holes there ain't no beer.
