Is it normal that i'm addicted to being sad?

Most of the time I'm sad. I think I might actually be depressed, but for some reason I don't want to change. I get so sad when I see happiness that I know I can't have... and its addicting.

It's easy to feel sad in this world but feeling sad all of the time means that you are depressed. Please see a doctor A.S.A.P as you may need an anti-depressant until you can turn your life around.

I do think that being sad can be addictive and through that sadness we form our comfort zone with it and somehow we feel everything is ok with it and do attain happiness. so i think its ok.

yup, powerless? unmotivated? lethargic? careless? self loathing/hatred? sorrow? pity? and acceptig it? youre really depressed, and probably havnt felt true happiness in a long time. sadness is your normal. i do the same thing. youre probably scared of attaining "happiness" because you dont know if you even can. its easier to keep up the same ol routine and stick with what you know. but go out, challenge yourself, stay out of your comfort zone and take every possible day with new experiences. you havnt found what you want in life, and you might even feel like youve failed. but youre probably also very young, just recently became an adult, and dont quite know how to handle it all yet. just relax, and know that in two years you could be an entirely different person. find out what you really want, and strive for that. trust me, youll like fun and happiness more than sorrow and sadness. im pretty sure you only like it now because youve trained yourself too so to speak. challenge yourself. no fuckin words from the internet are gonna reach out and change anything for you. thats youre job.

It's probably not normal, but I feel that depression can be addicting at times. No idea why.

Don't let this feeling of sorrow restrict you from feeling the happiness you deserve. You may think you dot deserve it, but really you do. Especially if you are courageous enough to watch others experience it, and sacrifice trying to attain such feelings
Good luck, and aim for what you deserve.
