Is it normal that i'm afraid to lose my virginity at my age?

I have a somewhat fear of losing my virginity and I don't mean to seem conceited but I have been asked for sex quite a few times. I get scared at the idea of losing my virginity yet also at the aspect of being a virgin for the rest of my life. I'm 17, is this normal?

  • If you're scared, you're not ready. There's no rush.

As a virgin I'm going to say what is common among non-virgins which is wait. Even though people make sex out to be something that you should rush into, long term it is certainty not a good choice not to mention pregnancy and STD's.

Dont rush it. I feel the same way, I'm about that age. Don't feel pressured to have sex, because that is NEVER a good thing. If people are pressuring you to tell them straight out NO!

Wait until you meet someone you love so that you don't look back and regret it with some douche bag you'd rather forget!

Lemme add something to what i said. I lost my virginity when i was 19. It was with a gal that, looking back in hindsight, i wish i never had done it with. She wasn't the one for me. I wanted it to be with the special girl. i thought she was the one, but she wasn't. So, make sure it's THE SPECIAL ONE that you wanna lose your cherry with.

Sex is a very important thing in a person's life. There's a risk with sex, though. Not only STD's, but pregnancy, and enjoying it TOO much (being a sleaze!) You should never feel pressured. You need to perhaps talk to someone about it, like a counselor. They will help you feel more comfortable as a virgin. Don't ever let someone tell you that you are ready when you aren't. That's your decision and yours only. When you feel comfortable in losing your cherry, it will happen, and not before it.
