Is it normal that i'm atheist but believe in chi?

I'm an atheist, but I believe in chi, or basically the essence of life itself. Along with the chi, I believe in manipulation chi (psiconics) and seeing chi (auras). Along with that, I believe in reincarnation.

It's nice to find a fellow believer of Chi. I'm not an atheist, though. I have heard that there are many atheists that consider themselves to be spiritual.

Atheism don't have any rules except for not believing in god(s), so I think it is normal. Also, I'm an atheist I like studying religion, the pagan ones are fascinating! I take a lot of the concepts I like into my life, even if I'm a very skeptic kind of person. I guess it is my romantic way of seeing life...

Chi is not based on god. It is based on ones inner energy and some scientists think that people may have this.

I don't know man. Everyone has to believe in something, whether it be science or "god" or just love. I personally like to say that I just don't know, I have no idea if there really is a higher power of some sort. I know religion is a farce, but it raises a few really important questions about our existence. What caused the universe to form? What was there before the big bang? Are we the only universe out there? What is reality, really? I don't know what the truth is. Probably no one ever will. Just got to live your life, and wonder.

Atheists don't believe in God or gods. Perfectly normal to believe in something out there, especially something that has to do with life - something that we all know to be real. Some may not believe in chi, but who cares? You do. If it makes you feel better about life, and if it makes sense to you then keep on believing.

  • I feel I'd be lying to you if I said it was normal but everything we take as normal today, was considered abnormal 1000 years ago.

It's good that you're thinking. Don't lose that.

Chi are a real thing... You don't need to be associated with a religion for it to effect you.

I also believe in Chi (Ki jap.) energy. We can't prove it scientifically, at this point. But I think we're almost there already. Actually I've been doing some Chigong most of the japanese martial arts are based on some idea of ki manipulation, but I'm not the best student there is. There are people who understand Ki way better.

I do believe in reincarnation as well, and not even because I chose to be a Buddhist. Just it makes sense to me.

Well, if you were one of my friends I'd call you normal. Except, most my friends aren't very normal so I'm a bad person to ask.
