Is it normal that i'm boycotting konami?

About a year or two ago, I heard that a game for the DS called Love Plus was released in Japan. I was really excited and wanted so badly for it to be sold in America. But to my misfortune, Konami never released the game to the states. Since then, I've been boycotting them (as in not buying any of their games under any circumstances). Is it normal for me to hold a grudge like this?

Don't blame the headquarters in japan, the games that make it to the states have to be approved by their American branch.
For instance, the sequel to chibi-robo came out in japan, but the American branch refused to approve of it >_<

I'm not going to take it out in nintendo, because of the states stupidity. Same thing with the Kingdom Hearts series, square enix released a game, but so far it's only been released in japan. I'm not going to stop loving square enix, because of it.

Actually I believe there have been a few cases of this, sometimes even on a mass scale.

No. If they have since then released games you enjoy in America, that should make up for it. If you think the direction they are going in is shitty, then ya it's ok to boycott them.

If you REALLY want to play it that bad though just get a ROM of it online. Google "nintendo ds emulator download" and then "love plus ds ROM" and bam you got it. They might even have an English patch for the game if its a Japanese only language game.

I wanted the same game at one point in the past, so I looked into how to play it. The only thing that stopped me was the price (importing things from Japan costs a ridiculous amount of money these days.) Just import the game and use online guides to help with translations. DS games aren't region-locked.

Understandable, but DS games don't have region barriers.

However, I guess there is the language bsrrier. I can understand why you want to boycott the company, but at the end of the day they're not - AFAIK - abusing their workers or creating some other huge social injustice....
