Is it normal that i'm creeped out by compliments?

I'm just plainly creeped out by compliments, it's just whenever someone compliments me I just get creeped out and I often wonder why they're trying to do this just to make me feel happy.

I don't get compliments and I do not get it in any way. Any compliments just make me feel weirder about myself and that's why I feel that way.

Is it normal?

Ive found that some of those young trendy women think you are trying to hit on them when you just say something nice to them. Like make a big deal about it. You say those boots are cool and they give you that look like youre a rapist.

I think it depends on sort of compliment we're talking about as far as I'm concerned.

    That's normal.

    You should be.

Try to be less paranoid. I mean that seriously, just assume the best of the other person and that they meant exactly what they said.

I think this is actually normal for certain kinds of people. If you don't receive a lot of compliments, or you're usually the "outcast", you probably will end up getting self-conscious or even suspicious of anyone who compliments you.
