I go to college studying biology and I am a 19 year old male.
I have been at college for two years and since the start my tutor has been the same man. He's really lovely and kind and helps me with my work, even in tutorials we have a bit of a laugh. He's quite a young teacher, he's only like 29 and we have always felt close.
3 weeks ago in a tutorial we kissed. I had never really thought about him that way AT ALL, I split up with my girlfriend not that long ago so I hadn't really thought about anyone else, least of all a man..and my tutor!
Through the last few weeks we have met up at lunch time and kissed a lot in his office. It wasn't 'til then that I realised how handsome he is. I've always had girlfriends and never even thought about men and all of a sudden i'm making out with my biology tutor!

Is it normal for me to be in this relationship? It feels good and I know he wants to take it a step further, it's not as though were doing any harm! I just want to know from you people if this is an okay thing. Thank you for reading this and please only leave SERIOUS responses as I really would like to know.

    ^ ridiculous. You are attracted to who who are attracted to and their gender is insignificant. As for dating a teacher...that's a little risky.

    I don't get why this is apparently so horrible? They're both legal adults and responsible for their own actions, if they wanna date, kiss, whatever, just let them do it and congratulate the guy for being happy? It's normal, in my opinion, just don't do anything that's illegal there and you should refrain from getting caught. ^^

    Is he your tutor or teacher? Tutor I wouldn't think of as a problem because he isn't grading you.

    I don't think it's wrong about having a relationship with your tutor. Maybe you just found out that you're gay, and that's fine too. It sounds like there's nothing that could go wrong, unless you take into considerate of other people's opinions. Don't be insecure and be happy with him.
    Just remember to actually use your tutoring sessions for learning.

    I was expecting you to say you were dating a hot teacher or tutor..wasnt expecting a "straight" guy like you to leave your girlfriend for a tutor thats a man.Never heard of anything like it..You should hit up Jerry Springer or one of those talk shows

    I guess its sort of normal to like both sex and wht ever but like alexime said be carefull because you may be confused because of the break up & also having a teacher as your partner would be normal if it werent because hes a bit lot older than you.. Im gonna be straight foward here and say this word: rape. Just be carefull.

    I agree with randomjelly. It is a bit risky but much more ok than if you were in high school. It's a bit of an ethics question from the teachers stand point but in the end you are two consenting adults.
