Is it normal that i'm in college at 27.

I've been messing around working as a waiter since i got out of high school. I always have a good time yet my money situation is always on the low side. I'm going to college so I can get a good job to earn money to fund a dream I've always had and then have even more fun when it succeeds. Is it crazy that I'm 27 and I'm doing this or is it normal?

  • I'm 35 years old and in university (I couldn't afford to attend earlier), so I think you are normal.

Some very successful people that I know of got a late start and it also paid off! I myself have been there among 18 year olds and it is kind of a drag! I got through it though and am that much happier to be done with that part of my life! I can remember feeling like I had nothing in common with those inexperienced peers and I disliked it too! I felt old sometimes but you are only as old as you let yourself feel!

It's not normal but that's not a bad thing. Better late than never.

My daughter is 27. She is back at college. She did what you did. At 20 she felt the need to move out. Worked different jobs. Dead end jobs. Then she moved back home and went back to college. It's a great thing! Go for it. It's never too late.

no no it'S good. at that age it'S alot better than 17. you're more sure of yourself, you probably are most serious about what you'Re about to do for your career. my girlfriend went back to school at 29 and she's doing something she loves, she found her passion. she had sent 2 years in college when she was younger and it was a waste of time and money.

I'm going back at 24 because I blew it the first time. Don't worry, I will be punished: this time around, I will be taking out loans to pay it back.

Yeah is normal. Shoot I want to go to college but I've been lagging it. I did go to a trade school but don't want to risk to go to a different job and not make it. Plus got into some debt so that doesn't help. Am planning on going to college thou.
