Is it normal that i'm jealous of my girlfriends dog?

We have been together for three years and she bought the dog as a puppy about two years ago. The problem is that the dog constanly barks, makes messes, and does many other little things that get on my nerves. Recently, I lost my temper when it kept yelping at random noises from the apartments around us and grabbed the little thing in order to keep it queit. This alarmed the dog even more, and it started to yelp as if in pain. The two of us got into a heated argument, and she eventually said that she loves the dog as much as me.

After she laid this on me, I couldn't help but feel like garbage and now I am reevaluating my entire relationship with her. I mean, she says that she loves me, but places me on the same pedestal as an animal.

This is also makes me think back to some problems we have had some problems in the past; I believe that she has cheated on me sometime ago but I thought that we worked it out. Are the feelings that I have normal? Or am I overreacting?

    Come on... It's a pet. You've got to get over that shit. She can love it just as much ...just in a different way.

    If it's just the dog - take it to obedience classes.

    Dude you got some serious self esteem issues if you feel inferior to an animal. Its a pet. Just know that its nat a human. But if you really feel scared at least she's not on zootube...

    You need to find a new girlfriend and kick this dog-loving bitch to the curb. Anyone who would say they love a dog as much as their boy or girlfriend (or any other human) isn't worth your time.

    If I were you, I'd do what some of the others on this site have suggested. Get a hidden camera and see just what she lets that dog do when you're not around. There are a lot of jokes about women and their lap dogs and I think they're probably true.

    The dog obviously isn't trained and any pet owner who doesn't take the time to do do SHOULD NOT have a pet. She doesn't sound very responsible man, kick the bitch to the curb and save ur sanity before its too late

    Lol. It's just a dog. She's probably having maternal feelings for it, like it's her kid, OR maybe you don't satisfy her emotionally so she uses an animal for that.
    I think you both are exagerating. The dog is not the problem. The 2 of you seem to have some old issues you need to talk about. If you can't, there are other fishes in the sea.

    I love my cat as much as my man but it's a different love. She is my baby <3 The fact you are jealous over an animal is stupid. Get over it. If you don't like it then move on. Animals are better than people anyways and you help prove that point.
