Is it normal that i'm right-handed but write like i'm left-handed?

I've been told somewhat recently that I write like I'm left-handed because I smear on the paper and get smudges on my hand, yet I'm right-handed. I've been told it could be that I was taught how to write by someone left-handed, but the two people who taught me were right-handed as well. Could it be that they write like I do, or am I just 'different'?

When some ppl see me signing my name, they laugh that my thumb wiggles. I have very small hands and this is just the way I write.

Smudging depends on the pen you use.

I write with my right hand and sometimes smudge the ink when I use a fountain pen, but not with a standard ball-point pen.

You need to be more careful when you use a liquid/gel ink pen.

Yeah same with me. But no matter what pencil I use, I always smudge, hmmm.

Sounds to me like you're bending you're wrist too much. Try turning the paper 45 degrees to the left.

I don't bend my wrist just as much as everybody else does, so that can't be the problem.
