Is it normal that i'm scared about being racist?

Sometimes, when I look at someone, I'll immediately notice their skin color and make a comparison to someone else that I know who looks that way. Does that make me racist? I try not to, but it's more of a reflex thing. Comparing someone to someone else counts as stereotyping, I think, because it's a way of judging someone by their peers. I know that everyone's equal, but sometimes, I don't feel it. Am I racist? Do you feel this way too?

It kind of sucks how society has made it come to the point that even though the majority of people could give a sh*t less whether or not someone is gay, black or white, we are so scared of thinking bad things that we think of how scared we are of thinking of bad things.

You're only racist if you hate other colored people.

What you are doing is just a human instinct. To know what a person looks like and compare them to others.

being racist is being smart. i hate blacks for good reason..
i live in a white neighborhood, i have been robbed 3 times and all were by blacks. i have had tons of parties, the ONE time i let a black guy hang out with us he stole my phone and 3 others. i was almost jumped by a black guy for throwing a popper near him. being racist doesnt mean you automatically hate all of them, its just knowing how most of them act and not liking it.

Agreed. Until black people as a group can scold and reprimand others of their race for making them look bad I will continue to stereotype for them. I fail to see a good majority of blacks trying to better their position. They cannot seem to get their shit together and take whats not theirs and they care not who they step on. Its kind of sad that even Jesse Jackson said that at the end of the night he feels at ease if the feet walking behind him on the sidewalk are white feet rather than black feet.

Are y'all kidding me? The reason blacks steal is because they're poor and feel like they have nowhere to turn. The reason they're poor is because they can't get a job. And the reason they can't get a job is because of racist employees!
