Is it normal that i'm scared of bigfoot at age 20?
Please read this before you judge me as an idiotic pan-phobic wuss. I've been afraid of bigfoot ever since I went camping in the northern areas of Canada when I was 10. We were camping in an old cabin sort of thing owned by my best friend's father, and it was the third time I had been there. We were on the great bear lake, the nearest town was really far away, and I think it was called Deline. The cabin and the surrounding woods and mountains were absolutely amazing; at daytime that is. In the nighttime everything literally fell completely silent, save for an occasional bird or fish splashing in the lake. My father and my friend's father would stand near a campfire and chat, but I was really scared that some sort of monster was out there, and that our noise would attract it. It didn't help that the nearest humans were a week's hike away. Then, one night, my father and my best friend and I were talking around the fire, when we heard a gigantic scream. It seemed to be coming from maybe 5-6 miles away, on the slope of a mountain. It didn't sound quite like a human but the way its tone fluctuated I doubt it was from rocks or something. Though I continued to go up there and enjoy myself years after that incident, it has left an impact on me. To this day if someone mentions bigfoot on a camping excursion, it leaves me sleepless. I've never heard of anyone who has been up in the great northern forests who has had a similar experience, and I'm desperate for help. Sorry if this was long, but I don't see of any other way of getting my situation out there.
