Is it normal that i'm scared of spiders but still want to fight them ?

Well I'm a mature guy and spiders scared the shit outta me. But I don't know why I always have this feeling that I need to kill every spider I see or it will attack me anyway. so if I see a spider, I will have to battle it to the death. of course I always win but I never stop being scared of those creatures.
So is it normal that I always want to kill spiders but never overcome my fear ?

    I find spiders so terrifying that I've actually cried when I found a large one in my house. However, I eventually kill it and the adrenaline rush is pretty awesome.

      Its human nature and its the how the part of your brain act when your afraid of something you feel like that you need to kill it. Example you see a creepy looking dog trying to approach you and you try to kill it before it hurt you

    I too are creeped out by spiders so I just kill them and get it over with.
