Is it normal that i'm terrified of an ending to a dr. seuss cartoon?

Go on YouTube and look up the Butter Battle Book...or at least the ending. This cartoon was based on a Dr. Seuss book satirizing the Cold War...I saw this movie when I was really little and the ending completely terrified me. Not only the plot, but the icing on the cake that actually made me jolt was the VERY last scene change..you'll see what I mean. What's weird though is that I still cannot bring myself to watch it...I know scary movies can make lasting impacts on kids, but come on...a Dr. Seuss cartoon???

    I can't stand Dr. Seuss he is not funny. He has demon looking characters. It's a twisted series.
