Is it normal that i'm willing to dedicate my life to traveling?

Since I had some hard times in my family while having the possibility of going to my friends that live in nearby cities,I became very enthusiastic about traveling and the enthusiasm level is still growing.
Now,that I'm 23,I just decided that I should change my life style and forget about the idea of having a stable home.
Knowing that I can discover so many things by traveling though Europe and other continents makes me feel euphoric and raises my adrenaline level,so,is it normal that I'm so determined to become a ''travel'' person? (By the way,I won't give up on this dream)

Yes, be careful and plan ahead. I'd love to travel myself, don't think I have the guts to do what you're going to do though. It sounds like a fantastic adventure and i wish you well.

It's a great dream and desire. Just be careful out there! Do you feel confident that you will be able to work/fund yourself during your travels? Get advice from other world travellers and good luck!

I would suggest that you begin your adventures alone. I assume you are speaking of a girl, but I guess it really doesn't matter which sex you mean? You will most likely meet many interesting and exciting people on your travels and it would be a shame if you were not free to have adventures with each and every one. In time you will find that perfect traveling companion, but I'd bet you dollars to donuts that it won't be over the internet or even an American.
You have not mentioned how you intend to travel, or where you intend to begin, but unless you are pretty well off financially, you will not be flying first class. Bumming rides on boats, cars (trucks) or even private jets is much more easily accomplished alone.
A life long adventure is not something you plan; it is something you do!

First,I'm planning to become at least a national boxing champion, this will grant me enough money for gasoline and other travel necessities and, when I gather enough money,I'm willing to travel through Europe with my motorcycle, starting from Romania and exploring the southern countries and after travel through the northern countries if I will manage to.
Then I want to return in Romania and resume my boxing career if I will still be able to do so,if not, find a suitable job that will get me enough money for the next traveling plan.
I considered that I need around 15.000 Euros to do the Europe tour,if that's enough,I can get this amount of cash in around 3-6 months of professional boxing depending on what matches I will have.

    A kindred soul!
I have traveled the world on vessels of all sorts. I had sailed to Mexico and Hawaii, fished king crab in Alaska and sailed the West Coast several times before I even graduated from high school. Then came the Far East; Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Okinawa and Vietnam.
A 9.5 year circumnavigation under sail followed several failed attempts at college, and I wasn't even 32 at the end of that.
I've been a ways up the Amazon and 310 miles up the Orinoco River in Venezuela. A circumnavigation of the East Coast of North America (Florida to the Great Lakes via the St Laurence Seaway, then down the Mississippi to New Orleans and back to Fla.
I'm still traveling now with my girlfriend, sailing the West Indies on our 50 footer.
So who am I to say you are not normal? Perhaps you are a child of mine I did not know existed?
You only get one go-around, so don't waste it. Live your life to the fullest and enjoy each moment.

  • This is very normal.
What's not normal is how many people have been brainwashed to want to sit at home their whole life going to a crappy job and coming home to bitch online about how they hate their life.

Yes, just be careful. Travel with someone you know at first, like a friend. Do this until you get the "do's and dont's" of traveling.
