Is it normal that i never do homework?
I constantly get told off for not doing my homework at school, and I my teachers think I don't make the effort. I am in top set for everything that is setted (we have a mix of setted and non-setted classes at my school) and some of my teachers have said I will be moving down to make way for people who 'can be bothered' with the work, even though I could have a lot more potential. HOWEVER-- I do try at school, I know why homework is important and I want to do well in the future. It doesn't matter whether I like the subject the homework is for or nor, I still won't do it. No jumping to conclusions about me not being bothered to make the effort/not liking the subjects or teachers. I get enough of that from my teachers and my 'friends' at school, thanks.
Sometimes I stay after school to do homework, though I never seem to do all of it. When I get my homework out, I just look at it for a while, thinking everything I write will be wrong (sometimes this happens for classwork, too, but not as often). A lot of the time I am just really stressed and I can never make myself even look at it because it makes me feel more stressed knowing it has to be in in 2/3 days time. Even if I don't do it I get more stressed because I get told off.
My form tutor says that most people follow a pattern - either they are 'good' or 'bad' - but I jump around too much so nobody really knows what to do with me. I am generally well behaved apart from the homework issue, however I have a lot of points (which you get for disrupting class/no homework etc.) even though I'm not the 'steal someone's pencil case and throw it across the room' type.
