I'm in my 5th and final year of college (doing a programming course), and I hate it. I've never enjoyed it. Is it normal that I stuck with this course despite my feelings towards it?
I should have done something more creative. I'm not the studying type. :\

If you hate the majority of your college work, you really should change your major. I wasted 3 years at university in classes I didn't like, but knew I could do, and the potential jobs paid well. But I just started dreading the homework and stopped doing it entirely and went from a 3.5 to a 2.5 GPA. So now I put a lot more thought into it, and decided I wanted a job that I would enjoy (regardless of salary), which meant taking classes that I would actually enjoy, and now I don't dislike any of my classes and they're more or less fun and interesting, and I actually want to put the time in to learn the material.
Maybe try prostitution instead ? Sounds like a much better path for you !
I have alot of friends who study law but don't want to practice law and are not enjoying the course at all. I don't understand it, but they tell me its simply because of the prestigious nature of it, how it will look on their resume in future years when they have graduated. I suppose there's a bit in that.
Many people do things they hate.
Smart? Meh, probably not.
Normal? Unfortunately, yes.
