Is it normal that i occasionally cough up little white chunks?

Occasionally, I cough up these little white chunks and I normally feel them in the back of my throat. When I cough them up, they don't smell too good.

Tonsil stones. You have bacteria in your tonsils, festering all day everyday. Its a tough problem to solve, just try to get them all out and gargle hydrogen peroxide and brush your teeth regularly.

I have the same thing, mucus in the back of my throat that comes out through my mouth later during the day, it is very annoying and I don't know how it started but it has been going on for some time now. According to Wikipedia (and some other sites I found from googling) it seems to be a condition called "post nasal drip" which is usually caused by some sort of allergies. I think there is an over-the-counter medication available for it but I haven't tried it yet.
