I write deep, meaningful, depressing, gothic poetry, about love, bad relationships that Iv'e had, or really soppy and romantic poems about people etc. I only write poems for myself to read, I get very deffensive if others want to read my poetry. I find poetry a very personal thing.
Me too. I write deep shit too. Stuff about love, heartache, death, life, etc. But for some reason I feel like it should be kept a secret.
I think it's normal. For me, it's my outlet to my truer self. The side that I find difficult to show to the public. The side of me that I seldom show.
One night my mom went into my bedroom for something, and I practically went into panic mode. I thought she had found my stash of poetry. I was freaking out! I was like, "What are you doing? What are you looking for?". I never let on why I was acting that way, but I think it seemed pretty obvious that I was hiding something.
I'm okay with telling people that I write, but some stuff I will not show. Show what you wanna show.
used to write short weird little stories in a journal. it was a huge release.I could be myself there and nobody could chastise me for it.
I write poems and stories all the time that no one has ever read. And when I did read one to my dad he thought it was disturbed.
yeah i supose its the same as people keep their diaries to themselves because poetry can be a very personal thing and a way of letting out your emotions. its understandable why you would keep it secret
Then again...since your a "goth" or whatever you call yourself isn't it in your nature to be eternally depressed pissed off?
Geez..If you get pissed off when other people want to read it then don't tell people about it. Problem solved.
