Is it normal that i pace every day?

Ever since I was younger, around twelve, I started walking around in circles, sometimes while listening to music. Now I'm 17 and I do the same thing still, listening to music, every day.
I usually imagine stories while doing it.
I've read that it's a symptom of a variety of different things from autism to anxiety, depression, ETC
I don't really think I'm autistic, and I don't have anxiety or OCD. I don't believe it's a symptom of depression, and I don't have that anyway.
Is it normal to do this?

I used to pace a lot when I was younger and people would tell me I looked like a big cat in a cage.

I used to do the same thing. I did my best thinking when walking in circles. Now, I just don't get off the couch unless I have to.

Damned young'un, 17 year olds aren't old enough to have an account on this site!

it reminds me of the show House MD, where he said a moving body is a "moving" mind. your pacing probably complements your thinking.

it may even complement your physiology, i.e. the same reason people shake their legs when sitting

is it just you that paces or does it run in the family?

I pace and even run around in patterns a lot, and I like to listen to music and use my imagination while doing it. I don't know why I do it and none of the mental health professionals I've spoken to can figure out why I do it.

But my best guess is that it's just entertaining for me. Some people play video games to relax; I like running around while imagining my ideal video games instead.
