Is it normal that i prefer a rectal temp over an oral temp?

Growing up I got my temp taken that way up until I was a teen. I noticed that I do not like the feeling of the thermometer under my tongue so I would take my own temp in the other end when I was sick... Now I prefer my partner take my temp this way whenever I am sick.

    What's wrong with it? Rectal temperature is more exact anyway. I do know there is a degree difference between oral and rectal but I forget which one is higher than the other.
