Is it normal that i prefer to do things alone?

Sometimes, well more often than not I prefer to be alone. I notice this most on Friday and Saturday nights. I go to a big university and people here party ALOT (WE ARE....) but I find that I prefer to go to the local theater and watch movies that I've never heard of. Or stay inside to draw and listen to music or even (attempt to) play my guitar. Sometimes I lie and say that I'm sick or tired so that my friends don't force me to go out. I fear that I'm becoming anti-social or something. Is this normal?

Definite loner over here. There are few people I can commune with adequately, and it's been said that I've always "danced to the beat of my own drum." It's not a hindrance for me as a loner, since I tend to perform more efficiently on my own. Some of us simply require less socialization than others.

Its normal to some extent. I do the same as you, I prefer to spend my time alone rather than being around others. Some people are introverted while others are extroverted, I don't think there's anything wrong with that as long as you don't cut off all human contact :P

That's what I do too. I used to go out a lot but my god I was broke. I'm perfectly content just going to school and work then staying home at night to do as I please. I never get bored. It's quite nice.
