Is it normal that i prefer to toast burger buns?
I prefer toasting it because the texture feels so good, but people think I am a weirdo for doing that so I want your opinion on this matter if what I am doing is normal.

I think it's great if they're lightly toasted. Plus the butter melts into them then.
When I worked in a cafeteria we always toasted the buns. The people loved them that way. Now when I make hamburgers on the grill I put the buns open face down on the rack and they get nice and toasted.
yeah i toss mine on the upper grill rack for a few minutes at the enda the patty cookin cycle
theyre better when theyre cooked in a bita butter on a skillet but thats a bit decdent for even me
All the Hispanic restaurants in my neck of the woods with burgers on the menu toast their buns. It's great!
XD
I dunno if it's a Hispanic thing, but i know that toasted buns add that extra bit of flavour to it. It's so good!
:)
My mother used to always spread butter on the buns and fry them. She was born in the thirties, and so of the generation which had absolutely no concerns about fat.
I've done that now and then in the past, but I really don't think it makes much difference to the homemade burger experience, and so I consider it an unnecessary additional step.
