Is it normal that i put my cat in the snow

Every time it snows I put my cat outside and tie it to a post and leave it there so it can enjoy the snow. I doesn't seem to like the snow but i continue to do this.

What the fucking hell is wrong with you..?

  • No! Let it out if it wants to go out, or play with it outside don't just leave it there. Cats don't like to be wet and it's probably freezing! Not normal.

  • Why do you tie it up? Get a cat harness if you're worried about it running away but seriously, it's not going to enjoy the snow if it can't actually chase after it >.>

  • You should try burying it in the snow. If it likes being out in the snow, being buried should be a blast.

If you're actually serious, of course it's not normal. My friend's lovely father threw her cat out in the snow because they neglected to get it neutered and it was marking everywhere inside the house, and his ears got frostbitten and rotted off. He eventually had to be put down because of the toll the weather took on his body, he was freezing to death outside. Some longer-haired breeds deal with the cold surprisingly well, but even they have the sense to find shelter when it gets too bad. :/
