I kind of hate my voice. I can do semi-decent accents mimicking Australians. I put on the accent, and people seem to enjoy the zany personality I show off. I am in no way trying to be offensive to the Australian people and their culture.

It's not offensive but it does sound a bit lame to put on fake accents whilst talking to people. I guess if you're gaming then you can't see them and will probably never speak to them again, so it doesn't really matter.
Neither do English people. I have had Americans talk to me in fucking weird voices, to the point where I thought they might be retarded, and then they laugh and say "sorry, I just love trying to copy your British accent". You honestly would never have guessed that they were trying to sound English...
