Is it normal that i read about joseph stalin a lot?

I have four books on the dictator and I read about him all the time. I live in Tennessee and people look at me like I'm weird if I tell them I'm interested in Stalin. I also read a lot about other Russian history topics and I also read about the battle of Stalingrad a lot.

  • Don't mention Stalin, it makes the atheists uncomfortable.

"How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin."- Ronald Reagan

Tell me son, do you understand Marx and Lenin?

  • It's common for people to be intrigued by the "strong man".

There's something in us all that admires strength regardless of the form it takes.

I think you'll appreciate this story more than most:

I was reading an interview conducted in the 1980's with an old Russian woman. She said, "I was born in Tsaritsyn, but I grew up in Stalingrad. I now live in Volgograd but I would like, more than anything, to see out my days in Tsaritsyn". She had, of course, lived her entire life in the same house. It almost broke my heart.
