Is it normal that i read shoujo?

I am a 17 year old average male. apart from being taller than most I would not consider myself to standout, nor am I effeminate in my mannerisms or day to day actions. I am also heterosexual in preference. However, I read gratuitous amounts of shoujo manga. I would consider myself a romantic, and shounen was not cutting it in that genre. I am sick of the typical weak male lead in a harem situation. So I turned to shoujo for my main manga staple. I sometimes think that I am not alone, and there are other men out there who like romance mangas but I have my doubts. I keep in the closet about my manga interests, and am fine to continue as such. All I want to know is if it is even slightly normal(acceptable) or not.
