Is it normal that i really dislike talking on phones

it really bothers me to call other people or to receive a call. if i ever find myself on the phone i try to make it as quick as possible. i also cant talk in front of other people, in the same room in a car, i will never use a phone in conditions like that.

I hate talking on phones. Something about not seeing the other person's face makes it much harder to work out what they're saying. Once I was so determined to avoid a phone conversation when someone called my phone that when I picked up I said "I'm sorry, I can't talk. I've lost my phone" and hung up instantly >_<

I hate it. I hate having to think up a proper response straight away. I'm the type of person that needs to go away and think up ideas. I also tend to forget what they've said once I've hung up the phone.

I have been known to ignore my phone when it rings, and my mobile has been sat on my shelf, relatively unused, for about 5 years now. I don't even know where the charger is anymore. Is that normal for a 20 year old female??

I'd much rather someone just email me instead. That allows me to read into what they really mean and enables me to give a decent answer to whatever it is they've emailed me for. I also love that I can just look up past convosations and information, like phone numbers, etc.

I hate talking on phones too, but only because I have a hard time hearing what the other person is saying; I'm not even deaf. I'd much rather talk to the person face to face. So yes, it's normal!

I absolutely dread phone calls. When I was scheduling interviews for jobs I would always pick the "in person" interview. I also don't call family members and catch a lot of shit for that haha.
