Is it normal that i rub my hair on my eyeball?

I am forever rubbing my hair on my actual eyeball. My mum said I've done it ever since my hair was long enough to reach! I especially like it when my hair is cold - I do it at work, while I'm driving and to get myself to sleep. I've never met anyone who does the same and nothing comes up when I google it. I do it so much it actually begins to hurt - please tell me someone else does it too??!

It's very common actually. The technical term is Oculocapillphilia. Many scientists speculate that the act is an evolutionary behavior linked to sexual selection in our primitive ancestors. Much like a peacocks feathers, long hair was desirable in a potential mate. When the object of the males desire put the lengthy hair in her eyes, blocking vision, it was a sign of vulnerability and trust. Consequently copulation occurred and the characteristic continued in successive offspring, still surviving in a few modern humans. Just kidding. You're weird

I like to run the edge of notebook paper across my cornea.

I used to touch my eyeball to gross people out.. Strangely enough, I get you. It is a nice sensation up until that weird dry burning feeling you get.

I used to do that too - and also stick my finger under my eyelid just to show I could.

      Children are weird.

I suppose that it's better than having a penis in your eye or a tongue licking your eye. It's still weird though.
