Is it normal that i shake when i stand in front of class

If I have to read something in front of my class, I'm fine for the first few lines but then I start shaking and can't stop. My voice gets shaky and I feel out of breath. The shaking normally last a few minutes after I finish the reading. I don't think it's because I'm nervous, they're people I see almost everyday and I'm normally calm around them.

Drop your shoulders to ease your tension and look just over above friends' foreheads which will make it look as though you are making eye contact.

It is normal to be nervous when you are the centre of attention and trying to give a speech but it's said that if you're not then you don't respect your audience. If it helps, you could try to picture them all naked - that should help you relax, but try not to laugh too much.

    It sounds like social anxiety.

I feel immensely cold and out of breath when I speak in front of my class. Everything sort of starts shaking and spinning. It's just nerves, it's normal.

I do it too but it's nervousness for me, also I have a tremor so maybe you have that too, it gets aggravated with nervousness or excitement, or if you don't eat enough

My head shakes when I have to speak in front of the class. It is terrible and I cannot stop it. I have to look down in order for it to be less noticable. Only when I place pressure on it, it is better. It isn't nerves because as you say you see those people almost every day. This happened to me for the first time a few years ago out of nowhere. Before that I could speak freely in front of many people. Now, it is horrible. I have a class presentation tomorrow and I am not looking forward to it. I can imagine my head shaking now. I find it ironic how in other situations it is perfectly fine. I think that it is caused by social anxiety. It is interesting how life can suddenly turn complex over something as simple as speaking before a class.
