Is it normal that i sit on my hands when i use the toilet?

I put my hands palm-down on the seat under my thighs for the first few seconds when I sit down on the toilet to avoid the cold shock.
Is it normal?

    Maby at home if you don't have too many people useing your toilet and make sure to wash your hands afterward but I think it would be just gross to do it on a public toilet lol I can't even sit on a public toilet I hover lol
