Is it normal that i sleep in wet clothes and blankets?

This started after a camping trip when I was 10 and had to sleep with wet clothes and wet blankets. I pretended to be as annoyed as everyone else, but secretly enjoyed it. Now every night, I soak my pajamas in the shower and get my comforter nice and wet and just fall asleep in this waterfall I've created for myself. Just the feeling of being covered with a soaking wet blanket is enough to make me fall into the deepest, most peaceful sleep. IIN?

I've done a reasonable amount of camping in my time and have slept in the wet both in warm conditions and sub-zero. Neither were pleasant and I made sure, barring natural disaster, that it wasn't going to happen again. I usually try to understand people's stories but I can't work out what you're getting from this.

Either way, you're not doing anyone any harm and, if you like doing it, fair enough.

Nah, I just live in a rainy country. I'm usually dry when I'm indoors.

my boy used to say he remembered being in his his mothers womb up to 3-4yrs. I always wondered if it was possible, ie, is memory possible without language or pictures to remember in.

      • No, it's not possible. Language does have a lot to do with it, but also the neural development of a fetus is not quite there yet either.

I don't think it's very normal, but I do that. I love sleeping in wet t-shirt, hoodie and jogging pants. Just be really careful on two points, because it's a dangerous thing we do. Don't get cold: you can get deathly cold doing this. And if you're wet at normal body temperature, your the absolute perfect environment for bacteria to grow, so shower with anti-bacterial soap, wear clean clothes and change bedding every day, otherwise - from experience, you can get nasty skin infections. Enjoy wet life.

I just signed up to comment this. You don't know how happy I am and I'd like to hug you! I douse my shorts before sleeping. Sometimes I bring a bottle at the side of my bed so when the water dries up on my shorts I just pour some more and go back to sleep.

Weird part is I hate my shirt being wet. Well not hate per se. I can tolerate it but I roll up my T-shirt just to prevent it from getting wet.

That's it for me. Really happy I was able to come across this even if this post was 2 ~ 3 years ago. Stay awesome and know that someone out there has this habit of yours too.

It sounds unhealthy to me, especially in a climate like Hawaii's, but if you've been doing it for years with no skin or mould problems go for it. I don't understand why your mattress isn't mouldy though, have you looked underneath it?

Sleeping in mouldy conditions is VERY unhealthy

I like to crawl in bed after a shower or bath and dry off in the warmth of my bed, but that's about the extent of it. However, I can imagine sleeping comfortably the way you do.

    • I had a pet duck who was afraid of water too. I remember my dad trying to teach her to swim in a lake one day, but she wasn't having any of it; non-stop loud honking.

Wouldn't it make you wet the bed?

It will interesting to find yourself a human mate, may have to get in touch with that bloke that was seduced by a dolphin.

This is one of the strangest posts I've seen on IIN and I'd put my left nut on it that it is real.
