Is it normal that i sleep right after i shower?

Is it normal that I sleep after I shower? Although this may seem innocent, it's not just that. After I take a hot shower, I climb in bed NAKED AND WET and fall asleep within minutes. My parents say I'm crazy, but I've done it since I was 16 so it seems normal to me. Prove me wrong.

I don't know of anyone who does this. Aren't you worried the water will go to the mattress and make it mouldy?

I have fallen asleep after a hot shower, but I hate sleeping with wet hair so I don't do it on purpose.

One way to help people sleep IS to shower before bed. The warm water relaxes the muscles, easing tension, thus making people feel comfortable so that they can go to sleep easier.

I was reading your post and then once you said ''I climb in bed NAKED AND WET" I kind of made an assumption that the story was fake, lol. However, there are a lot of weird people out there. So, to each his own I guess.

a hot shower is relaxing but going to bed wet is a dumb thing to do for obvious reasons.

Most people do this. I do not know why this seems so odd.

When you are in a hot environment like a hot shower your body expands blood vessels near the skin so that heat can be radiated. It's one of many ways your body regulates your temperature. A side effect of this is a lowering of blood pressure. Lowered blood pressure makes you drowsy. The heat also relaxes muscles, which your brain interprets as tiredness. Additionally if you grew up taking a hot bath right before bedtime you may have been conditioned to want to sleep right after bathing. So yes it is normal to be tired after getting out of a hot shower. It's a great way to relax.
