Is it normal that i smell food everytime before i eat em'?

Since I was a kid,I always liked to smell my food before I eat it.it became quite a bad habit when I can't resist from smelling my food in front if everyone even when I'm not supposed to.is this normal ?D;

    Yes it's normal! I smell my food before I eat it too,especially if it's something I've never tried before! I try to not make it too obvious when I'm in public!
