Is it normal that i sniff my arms?

Okay so since I was little, I've always sniffed my arm. Like I've always done it. My mum used to say that is do it when I was tired or upset aka as a comfort. I'm 21 and I still do it. I can't fall asleep without sniffing my arm. I've never found anyone else who does this.

I have hairy arms but the hairs are soft and I like the feeling of them brushing against my lips. My partner knows about this and they have lots of peach fuzz and the let me use their peach fuzz. I just really like the texture and you can truly feel how soft something is.

It doesn't work with other kinds of hair. Like it has to be soft and fluffy or else it's just not enjoyable.

It's not really about the smell either cause when I put perfume on my arms, it's nice but it's still nice without it.

I won't do it in public. Like I won't get my whole arm out and just go to town on it. But I have soft hairs on my knuckles too soo ill just do it to them and I feel that this is more inconspicuous maybe?

Might be worth mentioning that I also have bouts of trich and dermatillomania when very stressed

Can someone out there please tell me they do something similar at least???
