Hi,
I'm 20. I bury dead insects and spiders, not all the time, just sometimes. But I've done this since I was little. The reason I bury them is because I feel really bad for them and I feel they deserve to be buried, at least. Occasionally I'll even put some flowers where I had buried the insect or spider. Is this normal?
I'll say it's normal. When I was a kid I concealed a creepy crawly from my dad because I didn't want him to kill it. Only later did I realize that I had hidden him inside a jar of pesticide.
I was devastated when I discovered that my new found companion had passed. I buried him near the fence post where the backyard met the patio.
I do that too! I was just posting about that and realized it already had a post. I even say a little hail mary for it. haha
Lol yeah I used to do that with my best friend since I was in 4th grade :) Everybody thought we were weird because we would play with the kindergarteners and we would bury dead spiders and I put flowers too! Lol.
I often bury dead pieces of paper and potatos. I mentioned it my doctor and he told me I was an obsessive tidy up person. I said that was not true as I have genuine feelings for neglected things. Onloy yesterday, I buried some fluff which fell out of my belly-button.
I bury dead birds and other animals that I find in the street, I feel like I owe them something, such as a proper burial. I once buried a dead duck I found out when I was biking.
LOL! I find this hilarious for some reason. Well, I say it's normal. I, personally, have a huge phobia of bugs. You sound like a very nice person :)
