Is it normal that i still like childrens christmas stuff?

I am now a freshman in college. Around Christmas time, I still enjoy getting into the spirit and feeling the magic (even though I am long pas the santa thing).I still like to watch childrens classics like frosty, Rudolff, and other films of the sort. My dad says that it is time for me to grow up and do more mature things. He says that putting up decorations with grandma is something I should be long over. He basically hates the spirit and wants to ruin it for every one else. The same is said for disney movies. I still enjoy watching the animated classics such as the loin king, cinderella, aristocats, etc. Is this normal, or is my dad right?

While I did love Christmas back when I was a kid, I don't anymore.
When I was little, my grandparents were alive and my parents were healthier and younger. We all got together and celebrated. Now things are far gloomier. We eat, my parents go to bed. I browse the net for a while, then go out with friends and get drunk! Yay Holiday spirit! Fuck you aging!
I bet that when I have a wife and kids, the Christmas joy will return, but for now... it's semi-gone.

It's good that you keep yours. Enjoy it while it lasts.

From reading the first bit i imagined mr. Bean on Christmas morning :)
Just remember the old saying about "when I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness..."

I was wondering the same thing!
I went birthday shopping for my kid and I was super excited by lots of the toys that I would have liked at his age(OK I guess I still like them).

Put your feet up by the fireplace with a hot brandy. Say, "Bah humbug." Even Christmas must have its trolls.

I enjoy that time too, and still love Disney movies as well. Although, I might grow out of it with age. Anyway, you can like whatever you want, there's no age limit on those things - none except for the ones people put on each other. And those aren't important. Especially for something as harmless as that.

Accordion to recent studies, most people don't pay full attention to what they're reading, and hence don't pick up on little spelling errors. Some say you could even include a musical instrument and people wouldn't notice!

Dyslexia does suck though, it's a killer.

Damn. Didn't notice til you said musical instrument and I went back and looked. Hahaha

While I have you here, since you are the only Scottish person I know... What is your take on the split?

:P Aah god, the bloody split. I'm not for it. I reckon it would be a bit stupid of us to separate from England. It would be too much hassle and we'd be taking too much of a risk, but there are for sure some things we need to sort out with them - splitting just ain't the way to do it.

            You have any thoughts?

Can't say I'm an expert on it by any means. Like you said, it seems to have good points and bad.
