Is it normal that i still suck the glue out of the glue bottle?

When I was younger i used to take the lid off the bottle and lick around the lid, surprisingly...I got sick! Now that I am older, When ever I am helping my 8 year old daughter With one of her science projects, I zip around the corner, turn on the water, make sure no ones looking, and Slurp some of it out of the bottle. When I come back around the corner, my daughter asked "Mom, what happened to the glue?" I just tell her "Little monkey's came and attacked me while i was cleaning off the lid and spilled it!" ....hahaha gets her every time!!!
