Hey I'm glad you posted this. I struggled with this briefly in college until I decided to get an intervention. First, you need to ask yourself if you have a learning disability. A lot if students struggling have not sought the right help. Time management is something you need to master. School is pretty much a time mgmt game. In any case the following are some SOLID tips to dramatically get you perfect grades:

    1) when taking notes in lecture, right the notes in the form of a question; then answer it in YOUR OWN words. If you do not understand something, do not leave class until you get it answered from the prof. (you can also email) . Thus dramatically saves you time.

    2) read your text (every word) in PARTS. Divide the text in small parts and take notes depending on how many days you have until the next exam. Simply reading is not going to help. For once think to yourself and see if you can come up with the answer on your own IN YOUR OWN words.

3). You need some kind of good sleep each day because during sleep your brain processes LONG TERM info (this has been studied to death; I know because I researched it)

    4) never do all nighters; unless it's a paper lol

    5) always review material and preview material...

6). If your prof says something with emphasis it's going to be on the exam

To recap, you need to study material in small parts over a long period of time but need to master time mgmt. You have no idea how important it is!!

Let me know if you have more questions.

Oddness with grammar like that, you have no right to comment about someones intelligence.

Constantly being in the books wont help you remember all the important facts, if anything it would do the adverse.

Try studying like Poomplex said, 30 mins a day.
If you're still having trouble, linking the facts and what it is you need to know about passing certain subjects with things you find interesting.

What subjects is it you're studying for?

Are you using study strategies that work best for you or are the easiest? Have you ever been tested for a learning disability? Talk with a guidance counselor, advisor, teacher, or parent. You need to find out why you are having difficulty first. Then you can examine a strategic solution.

revise the night before the exam, or the night before the night befroe the exam it works better... well for me anyway, i dont know about anyone else, the panicing stimulates the brian and make ssure u cram lots ov information, but make sure you have done some past previous study of the subject or it wont work.

I remember wwhen i was at school lol im only 18. If im honest i didnt reallystudy. maybeyour studying for too long in a session. Half an hour a night androtate the subjects too, maybe put on music if it helps you remember or havethe telly on in the background just experiment :). you dont have to study everyday either youhave to let what you are doing process in your head first jut dont be hard on yourself and dnt make assumptions just concentrate on passing !!:)
