Is it normal that i stutter but i don't do it a lot?

So every once in a while, when I'm speaking, I'll do this thing were I serverely stutter and can NOT seem to get the word out. I repeat the word and it can take me up to 3 minutes to say "situation" or a word I may forget how to pronounce. I don't do this often, maybe a few times a month. And it's only started this year...
Is this normal?

3 minutes? What's the person you're talking to do? A crossword puzzle while you figure shit out?

Yes, this same thing happens to me all the freakin' time. I have so many thoughts going though my head that I don't really focus on articulating my words. It's embarrassing. I would recommend thinking about what you're going to say before you try and say it. :)

Everyone stutters to a certain degree. Taking up to 3 minutes to say a word is not normal however.

This happens to me too. Not really sure why.. It only started happening about 2-3 years ago and it only happens in certain situations.. usually when I'm explaining something. But I suppose I only really talk a lot when I'm explaining stuff. Long sentences cause such an overload my brain. Thinking about too much at once makes me lose track and I guess.. in turn I stutter because my brain is trying to figure out where I was and where I need to go next? I'm not sure..

Well I just ranted about me trying to answer your question by figuring out my own problem..!
