Normal. I'm waiting for my dog to say "listen, bitch. I'm not an infant. Stop talking like a dumbass. Make some bacon."
I often talk to my cats like children. Ironically, I hate speaking this way to actual children.
I just had a baby so I talk to my cat like I do to my son so he wouldn't feel left out.
that is so cute, i like it. i had a cat that i only had to look at and it would start purring. they love it
Normal. I talk to my cat like she's my baby. She's just so adorable that it wouldn't feel right if I talked to her like she was a normal person!
I do too. My dog acts like a little kid, so I treat him like one sometimes :P
Normal. My brother in law does it to his pet snake, his reticulated python to be exact (he got it about 2 weeks ago and has been enthralled with the beast since then).
However he goes out of his way to appease the cold blooded reptile- including buying him expensive cuisine: the finest pure bred mice in the market to date, and he is in the process of painting his entire room a dark forest/fern shade of green to mimic a natural habitat. The snake is meanwhile sleeping in the living room while its room is being remodeled.
Placing both palms in the glass, he coos to the reptile as though it were a baby. He tells me he knows the snake misses its natural jungle lair, he can see it in its eyes.
I look through the glass, look at its cunning eyes, and all i see is the fall of adam and eve
I not only talk with my dog, but also talk to myself as if my dog is talking back to me. :)
