Is it normal that i talk to myself

Somestime ill be on the bus and have whole conversations with myself. I even argue with myself and start yelling. People look at me funny and it makes me sad all over. Why do people think this is so weird. One time I started cursing at myself and crying. A bunch of people asked to get off the bus. I feel so alone

This is completely normal, don't worry. People don't realize it, but we have these conversations with ourselves every day in our heads. They might not manifest as conversations, per se, but they happen whenever you make a decision, or are worried about something and begin turning the problem over in your head, or anything like that. Talking to yourself out loud is just a more conscious version of this. It's often triggered by feelings of loneliness, much like yours. Basically, it's like the imaginary friends we invent when we're children; people to talk to when we feel there's no one else to turn to. My advice to you is to speak a little bit more quietly, however. The other commenters are right; generally, this behaviour isn't seen as normal in our society. I tend to hold conversations with myself either inside my head or when I'm alone and no one can overhear me. Stay strong! You are not alone!

That sounds like me. Maybe we could meet up and talk to ourselves together whilst ignoring eachother. :3

Talking to yourself OUT LOUD can be a distraction. Talk to yourself in your head, instead.

Therapy is a good idea. If you're currently attending an institute of higher learning, you usually have access to a mental health professional for free. If not, see what your insurance will cover and go there.

I'm sorry, honey, but it's not normal and never will be. When people see an individual talking to his or herself they will assume said individual I'd quite mad. People tend to hate, fear and ostracize that which they do not understand.

I would highly recommend that you seek the help and advice of a mental help professional. You might actually start to feel better and improve your life.
