Is it normal that i talk to myself when i read books?

I have this habit where I will give commentary when I'm reading a book. If I'm by myself and a book character does something I don't like, I immediately sit up in my seat and literally shout "No, no, no, what the hell are you doing you crazy [expletive]?!" I say other reactive commentaries too, all equally passionate and loud. It's especially embarassing when I do it in class, or worse, at the local Barnes&Nobles. Is this weird habit of mine normal or should I hide from society now?

I do the same, it actually takes me awhile to read a book purely cause of this reason. Although I don't read in public. Also, somewhat similarly, a lot of the times people add commentary to movies. The most popular one being "Don't go in there" or "if you walk in you're going to die." I feel like this is kind of the same thing, so I don't think you're weird or anything for adding your own commentary on novels.

Same here. Like if the character does something that i dont understand ill stop and say outloud "maybe he did that because ____ or maybe because ____" and then ill just try and figure out why he did whatever he did before finding out to see if my hypothesis was correct or not. But yeah your just really into it. The book is doing the one thing the Author wanted (besides getting published and sold).

I do this all the time, to the point where I can't read in public due to the weird looks I get.
