I tease people who I adore and apparently it pisses them off which makes me question if it’s normal (I don’t bully them so I don’t understand why they’d be pissed off)
I have absolutely no filter. But most people understand that I’m not being hurtful. Just fooling around.
You could be stressing them out. People don't like being messed with all the time. It's tiring.
I love doing that to my 18 year old cousin and she loves doing it to me too.
They probably just don't understand. I feel the same way, but I guess I'm closer to bullying than you on that point. At least that's what I'm just assuming now.
Talk to them about it if you haven't already and share your intentions with them and how you experience their reactions. They will surely tell you why they don't like it and whether or not they see your teasing as fun or whatever you think it is. If they don't understand, then you have no choice but not to do it, provided you care about them. It could be that at some point they'll get fed up and withdraw.
I used to do this until I realized tha people were taking it the wrong was as bullying.
