ok every time i get a female pet i call her him and give it a boy name and declare from that day forth it is a boy. is this normal? (PS IM NOT OR EVER WILL BE SEXIST)
We are all sexists. You might not be aware of it, but you are. Do you think males should courtship women or in any otherway treat them differently because they are women? If you do, then yes, you are a tad bit sexist.
No matter how hard you try to see the opposite sex as equal to yours there are still going to be all the differences characteristic of that gender. Even if you call a girl Max or a boy Jenny. It is not just that, we, as humans cannot allow ourselves to ignore any of the differences between ourselves and others if not at cost of our own identity. After all you are you because I am me not just because you are like that. We are all inverted reflections of eachother. To be all equal and treat eachother without any difference we should have the same name and all do the same things. Even if we ignore these differences they are still there. No matter what. So we are all SELECTIVE. We all behave differently according to what we think a person is. This,even if our opinion is based on nothing but a feeling. So you can call all the cats you want with all the names you want and think you are not being sexist. Or any other thing. The truth cannot be changed. We all are what we are from beginning to the end, it can never change all that much. It can only change within a certain range of possibilities. Which are increasing. But they are never gonna become enough to actually abolish forever all the differences between an individual and another. That would be like personalities totalitarism wouldn't it? So all we can we do is: follow a certain behavioral path generally appling to every social interaction. But all that, would not withstand the crisis test. We's revert to being kind of stereotypical and basically the same way our ancestors were in a matter of weeks. Because it is all an act. It's all just a temporary way of living social life and relate to eachother based on a thought. The thought that we are all equal. It is funny noticing how who believes in this thought contradicts himself on a daily basis. It gives me a good laugh. But then again it does not.
Why don't you get a male cat? Or would you call him a girl?
I have a cute male dog and allot of people say he's a girl, because he's cute. I can't say that their reasoning makes much sense....

Uhh...how about you hooking up with a guy and call him girly names and thinking he's a girl?
